Where we work, and what the ground does there
Seven communities, and the water behaves differently in each. Barrie floods on the thaw. The Innisfil shoreline has a permanently high table. Springwater has the Minesing Wetlands. Angus and Alliston sit on the Nottawasaga flood plain.
This is not a list of places we will drive to. The mechanism that wets a basement in Alcona is not the mechanism that wets one in Ardagh Bluffs, and the right system is different as a result. Each page below sets out what we actually find there.

Barrie
Barrie floods on a schedule. The March thaw releases a snow-belt snowpack onto ground still frozen more than a metre down, and the meltwater has nowhere to go but your foundation.

Innisfil
Along the Lake Simcoe shoreline the water table is not a seasonal visitor — it is a permanent neighbour, and it sits high.

Stroud
Between the Barrie boundary and the Innisfil shoreline, with an older village core whose weeping tile has run out of years.

Oro-Medonte
Rural township on rolling ground, where the water arriving at your foundation is often coming from someone else's field.

Springwater
The Minesing Wetlands sit in the middle of this township, and the water table around them behaves accordingly.

Midhurst
Large homes on large lots north of Barrie, where the water problem is usually the landscaping rather than the foundation.

Angus & Alliston
Both sit on the Nottawasaga system, and both have areas where the relevant authority is the conservation authority, not the contractor.
